Horacio began his career at Booz Allen as a summer intern in 1991. He rose to the rank of partner by building a successful private-sector strategy consulting business. He has also held multiple corporate roles including chief personnel officer, chief operating officer, and president. He became Booz Allen’s chief executive officer in 2015 and chairman of the Board of Directors in 2024.
Over the years, Horacio has played an integral role in many of the company’s major strategic initiatives, including the spin-off of the commercial consulting business in 2008 and the successful 2010 initial public offering. Most importantly, he led Booz Allen’s pivotal transformation into the vibrant technology company it is today, ushering in a period of significant growth and shareholder value creation.
Horacio is also actively involved in the community. He is chairman of the Board for Children’s National Hospital and a member of the Board of Directors at Marriott International, Inc. He is also a member of the Business Roundtable, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum’s Committee on Conscience, and Vice Chair of the Kennedy Center Corporate Fund Board. Horacio was named to the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans and received the 2022 Horatio Alger Award.
Horacio was born and raised in Argentina, then moved to the United States to attend college. He holds a B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago.
